Group Exam Day
We'll be working in groups today to retake the exam.
- Arrange the room into quads. You'll be with the same group you've been with.
- Your grade on today's exam is your attendance today. You don't have to worry about getting every problem correct, or even completing the exam.
- The point to this activity is to help us all get on the same page.
- If you thought a problem was easy, you don't need to express it.
- Each problem may have been difficult for different people.
- As soon as you say, "That was really easy" it can be interpreted as "if you didn't get that one, you must be dumb." That's not helpful.
- Think about what you are saying, and how it will be interpreted. Learning to avoid unintentionally offending others is a valuable skill.
- If a single person in the group wants to review a problem, then as a group have each person work through it. Share your work with each other. Discuss any questions, issues that you find. Then move on.
- If no one in the group wants to review a specific problem, feel free to move on.
